Before you download: what to know
Requirements
MindLift needs Android 8.0+ on a phone or tablet, and there is nothing to set up beyond installing it from Google Play. The app is available in English and Spanish. It also runs on iOS and in a web browser, so you are not tied to one device.
What free to start includes
MindLift is free to start. You can install it, open a reframe and use the core CBT reframing flow without paying, and there are no ads. A premium subscription is optional and adds extra features on top of that; Google Play shows the price before you confirm, and nothing is charged until you choose a plan.
Working offline
MindLift works offline. Once it is installed, you can open the app and run a reframe without a connection, which matters at the moments it is built for: on a flight, underground, or at 2am with your phone in airplane mode. You still need a connection to install the app in the first place and to manage your subscription through Google Play.
How to cancel
Subscriptions are billed and managed by Google Play, not by MindLift, so cancelling happens in your Play Store settings rather than inside the app. Open the Google Play app, tap your profile icon, tap Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, choose MindLift and tap Cancel subscription. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription, so cancel first if you want billing to stop. After you cancel, the free-to-start version of MindLift stays on your device.
What a Reframe Actually Looks Like
From the app · Fortune telling
"I'm going to bomb this interview."
→ "I can't control their decision. I can control how prepared I walk in — and that part is done."
From the app · Mind reading
"Everyone noticed how nervous I was."
→ "I remember every word I said. They remember theirs. The spotlight was mine, not the room’s."
From the app · Catastrophizing
"You handled that all wrong. (2:14am)"
→ "Nothing about this gets decided at 2am. The version of me that fixes things comes online at 9."
