Who We Are (Data Controller)
MindLift is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. MindLift operates the MindLift mobile application (available on the Apple App Store and Google Play) and the website at mindliftapp.app.

Website Analytics
On our website we use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which content is useful. These only run if you accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner — if you reject or ignore it, no analytics scripts load and no analytics cookies are set.
All of this is collected anonymously. The events are not tied to your name, email, or MindLift account, and we make no attempt to identify individual visitors from them. When enabled, we collect aggregated events including:
- Pages visited, referring site, approximate location (country/city level), device and browser
- Which quiz was taken and which result was shown, and whether a result was shared
- Whether an article was marked helpful or forwarded, and which links were followed
- Clicks through to the Apple App Store or Google Play, and the page they came from
- Whether a promotional banner or modal was shown or dismissed
What these events never include: the thoughts or text you enter in the app, the reframes generated for you, your individual quiz answers, your name, or your email address. Whatever you type in the app or on this website stays on your device and is never sent to us. Website analytics are not linked to any account.
Separately from Google Analytics, we also keep an anonymous count of how often our app-download buttons are seen and clicked. These counts use no cookie and no identifier — each one records only the page, the button, your device type (phone/desktop), and the referring site, and nothing that could identify you. Because nothing is stored on your device and nothing identifies you, these counts do not depend on the cookie banner.
This data is processed by Google LLC and may be transferred outside your country under Google's standard contractual clauses. See the Cookie Policy for the specific cookies and how to withdraw consent.
How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Provide personalized affirmations and mental wellness content
- Track your progress and display meaningful insights
- Improve our AI algorithms for better personalization

Email Communications (Newsletter & Promotional Emails)
If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter or promotional emails, we collect your email address for this purpose.
- Subscription is entirely voluntary and optional. We will never subscribe you without your explicit, affirmative consent.
- Your email address is used solely to send you MindLift news, product updates, tips, and occasional promotional offers.
- You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in any email we send, or by contacting us at mindliftmindlift@gmail.com.
- We will remove inactive subscribers from our list after 24 months of no engagement.
- We do not use your email for advertising profiling or share it with third parties beyond our email service provider (Brevo), which processes the email solely to deliver these messages on our behalf.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- End-to-end encryption for sensitive mental health data
- Secure cloud storage with regular backups
- Regular security audits and updates
- Limited employee access to personal data
- HIPAA-aligned security practices
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We do NOT sell your personal information.
We may share your information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: Third-party services that help us operate the app (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics)
